1. Our commitment

Women Frontline Doctors wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities and people using older phones or slow mobile connections. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

2. What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to main content" link.
  • Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled forms so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Photos have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text colours meet WCAG AA contrast, and buttons and links are large enough to tap easily.
  • The site works when zoomed to 200% and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels.
  • Animations are reduced when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages are lightweight, use your device's built-in fonts and need almost no JavaScript, so they load quickly on mobile data.

3. Known limitations

  • Some photos and documents added by our team may have incomplete descriptions. We review new content regularly.
  • Social media platforms and other websites we link to have their own accessibility standards, which we do not control.
